Islamabad United, Karachi Kings Make Major Buys at PSL Auction

Lahore : The player auction for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) continued on Tuesday as franchises worked to finalize their squads for the upcoming season.

All eight PSL teams are expected to assemble squads comprising 16 to 20 players. More than 800 local and foreign cricketers have registered for the PSL 11 player auction.

During the auction, Islamabad United secured all-rounder Faheem Ashraf with the highest bid of Rs 85 million. In the same round, experienced all-rounder Imad Wasim remained unsold. Karachi Kings added Australian batter David Warner to their squad for Rs 79 million.

Quetta Gladiators signed South African batter Rilee Rossouw for Rs 55.5 million, while Hussain Talat, Saud Shakeel, and fast bowler Ihsanullah were not picked by any franchise. Lahore Qalandars acquired pacer Haris Rauf for Rs 76 million, while Rawalpindi secured fast bowler Naseem Shah for Rs 86.5 million.

Each franchise has been allocated a total budget of Rs 505 million to complete its squad. Following the latest round, Islamabad United have Rs 346 million remaining, Karachi Kings have Rs 322.6 million, and Lahore Qalandars retain Rs 313.6 million for further player purchases.
