PTA Holds Training Program on Safe and Responsible Social Media Use
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with TikTok and the Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness, organized a two-day Training of Trainers program on the safe and responsible use of social media in Islamabad on February 12, 2026.
The program aimed to enhance digital awareness and equip participants with practical skills to address online risks, including fraud, hacking, impersonation, privacy issues, and misinformation. Participants from Islamabad, Quetta, Sukkur, Lahore, Karachi, Swabi, Mardan, and Peshawar attended the training.
Experts from PTA and partner organizations conducted interactive sessions covering cyber hygiene, child online protection, platform safety tools, reporting mechanisms, and responsible digital citizenship.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khawar Siddique Khokhar, Member Compliance and Enforcement at PTA, emphasized the importance of collective efforts in promoting safe and responsible social media use. PTA reiterated its commitment to fostering a secure and responsible digital environment across Pakistan.
