Pakistan Prepares to Host 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women

Islamabad : Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level review meeting on preparations for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, which Pakistan will host later this year.

The meeting assessed progress on logistical arrangements, thematic priorities, and coordination with the OIC Secretariat to ensure the success of the event. DPM/FM Dar directed all relevant ministries and stakeholders to finalize preparations in a timely and coordinated manner.

Officials present included Federal Minister for Law & Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, Secretaries of the Cabinet and Human Rights Divisions, and senior representatives from Finance, Interior, and other key ministries.

The conference aims to strengthen collaboration among OIC member states on women’s empowerment and gender-related initiatives across the Islamic world.
