Xiaomi Watch 5 Headed to EU With Wear OS and €329 Price

Xiaomi’s latest smartwatch, the Xiaomi Watch 5, is set to make its international debut, including in European Union markets, following its launch in China in late December, according to a report from Czechia.

The global version of the Xiaomi Watch 5 will run on Wear OS and is expected to be priced at CZK 7,990 in the Czech market, which currently translates to around €329. The watch is reported to be available in Juniper Green and black color options. This price reportedly applies to the non-cellular variant, while a Polish comparison website indicates that an eSIM-enabled version is also expected to be introduced in the EU.

The Xiaomi Watch 5 stands out with a 930 mAh battery, which is unusually large for a smartwatch. It features a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a 480×480 resolution, peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and a 2.6mm round bezel. The device offers 5 ATM water resistance and is powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, supported by a BES2800 power-saving co-processor.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, while health and sensor capabilities include heart rate monitoring with blood oxygen saturation measurement, an ECG sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, barometer, and ambient light sensor. The watch also includes an EMG sensor that detects electrical muscle signals in the hand and translates them into gesture-based controls for navigating the user interface.

In addition, the Xiaomi Watch 5 supports more than 150 sports modes. The smartwatch measures 47 x 47 x 12.3 mm and weighs 56 grams.
