PM Shehbaz Sharif Visits GHQ for Security Briefing
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said the people of Pakistan and the country’s armed forces are always prepared to safeguard national security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He stated that the armed forces are determined not to allow any harm to the country’s peace and security under any circumstances. The prime minister said Pakistan’s forces possess the full capability to thwart any aggressive designs.
Prime Minister Reaffirms Commitment to National Defense
He said that under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the armed forces are carrying out their duties with national spirit. He added that the forces are equipped with professional expertise, advanced training, and an effective defensive strategy, and are fully capable of addressing any internal or external challenge.
The prime minister said there will be no compromise on the defense of the homeland and that every act of aggression will be met with a strong response. He added that while Pakistan has consistently promoted peace, it will not allow any threat to its territorial integrity and that the armed forces will firmly confront any aggression.
Zero Tolerance for Taliban-Khawarij Nexus
He said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces.
The prime minister made these remarks during his visit to the General Headquarters, where the military leadership provided him with a detailed briefing on the Pakistan-Afghanistan situation.
He said zero tolerance will be adopted toward what he described as the nexus between Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban regime, as well as their disruptive activities. He termed actions by the Afghan Taliban regime and Fitna al-Khawarij against Pakistan as unacceptable.
Pakistan Vows Strong Response to Aggression
The prime minister reiterated that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Pakistan’s armed forces remain ready at all times to defend the country. He said Pakistan knows how to defend itself against any aggression.

He also praised the professional capabilities of the armed forces for repelling attacks in border areas by the Afghan Taliban regime and for carrying out a strong retaliatory response.
The prime minister said the entire nation stands united with its armed forces for the defense of the homeland.
