Yanbu Port Assurances Highlighted in Talks
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik held a meeting with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, to discuss bilateral energy cooperation and supply arrangements.

During the meeting, the minister said Saudi sources had assured that energy supplies routed through Yanbu Port, located on the Red Sea, would remain secure. He noted that the assurance could help Pakistan meet its energy requirements amid evolving regional conditions.
Assurance on Crude Oil Shipment
Ali Pervaiz Malik expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan, stating that the Kingdom has consistently extended assistance in critical sectors.

He informed the ambassador that an assurance had been given regarding the dispatch of a vessel from Pakistan to Yanbu Port for the procurement of crude oil. The shipment is intended to help strengthen Pakistan’s energy reserves and ensure uninterrupted supply.

The minister also conveyed hope that Pakistan would receive priority in oil supplies from Yanbu Port, emphasizing the importance of timely deliveries in meeting domestic demand.
Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Commitment
Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki said the Kingdom remains fully aware of the changing situation and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to standing firmly with Pakistan in addressing any emergency requirements.
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Discuss Energy Supply Cooperation
He affirmed that Saudi Arabia values its longstanding ties with Pakistan and remains prepared to extend support in line with bilateral cooperation frameworks.

The meeting underscored ongoing coordination between the two countries in the energy sector and highlighted efforts to maintain stable supply channels through established maritime routes.
Officials described the discussions as part of broader engagement aimed at reinforcing strategic energy cooperation and ensuring preparedness to meet potential supply challenges.
