Pakistan Targets Militant Infrastructure Inside Afghanistan, Says Tarar

Pakistan is conducting operations against militant hideouts inside Afghanistan based on precise intelligence information, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said while speaking to foreign media outlets.

Tarar Rejects Taliban Claims, Calls Battlefield Reports Propaganda

The information minister stated that Pakistan’s actions are specifically focused on eliminating terrorist infrastructure and support networks operating across the border.

Tarar emphasized that Pakistan has not targeted any civilian areas in Afghanistan during these operations. According to the minister, the country’s security actions are directed solely against terrorist elements and their logistical and operational systems.

“Pakistan is targeting only the core infrastructure of terrorists and the systems that support them,” Tarar said during his interaction with international publications.

He also rejected figures released by the Afghan Taliban authorities regarding alleged casualties, describing them as unrealistic and not worthy of serious consideration.

Pakistan Responded Effectively To All Attacks, Information Minister

According to the minister, the numbers presented by the Afghan Taliban government were “imaginary” and lacked credibility. Tarar said such claims should not be treated as reliable assessments of the situation.

The minister also dismissed statements issued by the spokesperson of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense claiming battlefield successes against Pakistan. He described those claims as inaccurate and labeled them as propaganda.

Tarar further rejected reports circulated by the Afghan Taliban regime and the United Nations mission in Afghanistan suggesting that Afghan civilians had been killed in the reported incidents.

Addressing the issue, he said the information being shared by the United Nations agency based in Kabul relied entirely on data provided by the Taliban authorities.

“The information circulated by the UN agency in Kabul is completely dependent on data provided by the Taliban government,” Tarar said while responding to the reports.

The information minister also commented on what he described as joint attacks carried out by Afghan Taliban elements and militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij, a term often used by Pakistani authorities to refer to certain militant groups.

Pakistan Denies Targeting Civilians In Afghanistan Operations

According to Tarar, the coordinated nature of these attacks indicates a connection between the Afghan Taliban government and multiple terrorist organizations operating from Afghan territory.

Tarar further stated that Pakistan responded promptly and effectively to all attacks carried out by the Afghan Taliban regime.

“Every attack carried out by the Afghan Taliban regime was answered immediately and effectively,” the minister said.

He added that Pakistan targeted terrorist groups and their facilitators with precision, including installations described as military bases linked to Afghan Taliban elements.

Pakistan’s actions focused on eliminating terrorist infrastructure

According to Tarar, the operations were conducted carefully to ensure that the intended targets were terrorist infrastructure and their supporting networks.

The minister reiterated that Pakistan’s security measures are aimed at countering terrorism and preventing militant groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks.

Tarar maintained that Pakistan’s actions were guided by accurate intelligence and focused exclusively on eliminating terrorist threats and their support systems.
