Pakistani Actress Bushra Ansari Warns Against Fake Social Media Accounts Soliciting Money
Senior Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed strong anger over fake social media accounts using her name to solicit money from the public.
In a video message on photo and video-sharing app Instagram, Ansari said unknown individuals are using her images to impersonate her, asking for donations under the guise of charity or welfare work. She urged the public not to fall for these scams, calling the tactics “cheap and despicable.”
Some of the fake accounts claim to help the poor on religious occasions, while others pose as NGOs collecting donations for widows and disadvantaged individuals.
Ansari said shameless people are exploiting such tactics worldwide. Despite her previous video warnings, the fake accounts continue to appear.
She clarified that whenever she helps anyone, she does so personally and quietly, and she has never collected donations via social media. She appealed to the public to exercise caution and not trust any accounts claiming to solicit money in her name.
