Kazakhstan Cement Production Hits Record 13.07 Million Tons in 2025
ASTANA – Cement production in Kazakhstan reached a historic high of 13.07 million tons during the first 11 months of 2025, Qazinform News Agency reported.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration attributed the growth to improvements in the national system for cement product certification under the updated ST RK 3361-2022 standard. In 2025, the ministry approved national standards for the technological regulations governing cement and Portland cement clinker production.
The updated standards aim to close regulatory gaps, enhance product competitiveness, reduce production risks, and strengthen requirements for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Since the introduction of ST RK 3361-2022 in 2019, imports of grey cement have declined, while domestic production has steadily increased. The 2025 standard update provided an additional boost, culminating in a record annual output.
Earlier reports highlighted that Kazakhstan has also approved a digitalization plan for the construction sector, signaling broader modernization efforts.
