Ali Larter Hails Sam Elliott as a ‘True Legend’ on Landman Set

Los Angeles: Actor and former model Ali Larter has praised veteran actor Sam Elliott, describing him as a true legend and a major presence on the set of the television series Landman, according to an international media report.

Speaking during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Larter, 49, said the cast was thrilled to welcome Elliott for the show’s second season. She also spoke positively about working alongside other prominent names, including Demi Moore and Billy Bob Thornton.

“Our cast is so incredible, and having Sam Elliott join is just like… we have legends,” Larter said, adding that the ensemble is made up of actors who have followed their own paths and bring a unique energy to the show.

Larter, who plays the character Angela, said Elliott has made a strong impression from his first day on set, both on and off camera. She highlighted his humility and kindness toward the crew, noting that he often chooses to sit on a simple apple box rather than a director’s chair and arrives early even on days he is not scheduled to film.

She recalled their first meeting, saying Elliott was open, warm, and deeply engaged, qualities she said reflect his status as an icon. “He just brings so much soul to our show,” she said. “He’s amazing.”
