PM Shehbaz Invited by US President to Join Gaza Peace Board

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has received an invitation from United States President Donald Trump to join the Board of Peace on Gaza, the Foreign Office confirmed on Sunday.

Responding to media queries, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said in a press statement that Pakistan would continue to engage constructively with international efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in Gaza.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s longstanding position on the Palestine issue, stating that Islamabad supports a lasting and just solution in line with relevant United Nations resolutions.

“Pakistan will remain engaged with international efforts for peace and security in Gaza, leading to a durable resolution of the Palestine issue in accordance with UN resolutions,” the spokesperson said.
