Government Assures Adequate Supply of Essentials Across Pakistan Ahead of Ramazan
Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting to review the availability and prices of essential commodities across Pakistan.
Expressing satisfaction over the ample stock of key commodities across provinces, the DPM/FM directed federal and provincial authorities to continue close monitoring of the markets, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramazan. He emphasized the need to prevent any artificial price hikes or exploitation of consumers by unscrupulous elements.
The meeting was attended by Minister for National Food Security Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Mr. Tariq Bajwa, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Chairman TDAP, officials from the Federal Board of Revenue, Ministries of National Food Security and Commerce, and representatives from provincial food departments.
