Blast Damages Residential Building in Iran’s Bandar Abbas

Bandar Abbas: An explosion struck a residential building in Iran’s southern coastal city of Bandar Abbas on Saturday, causing significant structural damage, according to news agenciesThe cause of the blast has not yet been determined.

State media reported that the explosion occurred in an eight-storey building located in the Moallem Boulevard area of the city. As a result of the blast, two floors of the building collapsed, while several nearby vehicles and shops also sustained damage.

Rescue and firefighting teams were immediately dispatched to the site, and relief operations are currently under way.

Iranian media have rejected reports suggesting that the explosion targeted a commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
