Third Round of Iran–US Nuclear Talks Begins
The third round of indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States formally began in Geneva with a meeting between the foreign ministers of Iran and Oman.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Geneva for the third round of negotiations and held talks Wednesday evening with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.

Geneva Hosts New Phase of Iran–US Negotiations
During the meeting, Iran’s positions on nuclear-related issues and the removal of sanctions were presented. Iranian officials outlined key points and considerations to the Omani side, which is facilitating the diplomatic process between Tehran and Washington.
Araghchi expressed appreciation for Oman’s efforts in advancing the ongoing negotiations. He emphasized that the success of the talks depends on the seriousness of the other party and the avoidance of what he described as contradictory behavior and positions.

Oman Facilitates Ongoing Indirect Iran–US Diplomacy
The Iranian foreign minister underscored that constructive engagement and consistency from all sides are essential for progress in the discussions, which focus on nuclear matters and sanctions relief.
For his part, Albusaidi praised Iran’s continued commitment to pursuing diplomacy over its nuclear program. He reaffirmed Oman’s readiness to continue offering its good offices and provide any necessary assistance to help move the process forward.

The Omani foreign minister also voiced hope that, through mutual seriousness and commitment by the parties involved, the negotiations would produce an outcome acceptable to both sides.

Iran, Oman Ministers Meet Ahead of US Talks
Oman has played a mediating role in facilitating indirect contacts between Iran and the United States, with the talks proceeding through diplomatic channels rather than direct bilateral meetings.
The indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington are scheduled to continue Thursday, with delegations from both countries participating in the next phase of discussions.
