Iranian Missiles Target US Bases Across Gulf
DUBAI: Several US military bases across the Gulf region came under attack Saturday as Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched missile strikes in retaliation for earlier US and Israeli operations inside Iran, according to Iran’s Fars news agency.

Installations in Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain were reported as targets in the coordinated attacks.
Bahrain, Qatar, UAE Report Interceptions
Bahrain confirmed that a service center associated with the US Fifth Fleet headquarters had been struck in what officials described as a missile attack. “The Fifth Fleet’s service center was subjected to a missile attack. We will provide you with details later,” the kingdom’s National Communication Centre said in a statement.
The US Navy’s United States Fifth Fleet is headquartered in Bahrain and oversees American naval operations in the Gulf region.

An interior ministry alert sent to residents’ mobile phones in Bahrain warned of a hazard, stating that emergency sirens had been activated. AFP correspondents in Manama reported hearing the sirens.
Fifth Fleet Facility Hit in Bahrain
Emergency alarms were also heard near US bases in Qatar, AFP correspondents said. A Qatari official stated that one Iranian missile was intercepted by the country’s air defense systems before reaching its target.
In the UAE, residents of Abu Dhabi reported hearing loud explosions. The state news agency WAM said Emirati air defenses successfully intercepted several Iranian missiles.

Authorities in the UAE also reported that falling shrapnel struck a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing material damage and resulting in the death of one person of Asian nationality. Officials described the response by emergency services as swift and coordinated.
Jordan Downs Ballistic Missiles Amid Escalation
The UAE’s civil aviation authorities announced the temporary and partial closure of the country’s airspace as an exceptional precautionary measure, citing ongoing security concerns.
In Jordan, the military said it downed two ballistic missiles targeting the country, according to the state news agency Petra. No casualties were immediately reported there.

The attacks followed vows of retaliation from Iranian officials after joint US-Israeli strikes targeted sites across Iran earlier in the day. Regional governments have heightened security measures as tensions threaten to expand beyond bilateral confrontation.
Damage assessments and casualty figures remain limited as authorities continue to evaluate the impact of the missile attacks. The situation across the Gulf remains volatile, with air defense systems on high alert and governments urging residents to follow official guidance.
