Rana Mashhood Highlights Overseas Employment Strategy
Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan underscored the importance of demand-driven skills development in strengthening Pakistan’s overseas employment strategy.

He was addressing participants at the Overseas Employment Visa Award Ceremony held in Islamabad, where successful candidates were recognized for securing overseas job placements.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana Mashood said the prime minister’s youth-focused vision places skills development, employability, and global competitiveness at its core. He emphasized that equipping young people with market-relevant skills is essential to enhancing their prospects in international labor markets.
Focus on International Labor Market Requirements
The chairman commended the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and its partner institutions for aligning technical training programs with the requirements of international employers.

He noted that adapting curricula to meet global standards helps ensure that Pakistani workers remain competitive and in demand abroad. According to him, structured training and internationally benchmarked assessments contribute to improving employment outcomes.

Rana Mashhood also praised efforts to maintain transparency in skill verification, immigration procedures, and job placement processes. He said that clear and credible systems help build trust among foreign employers and enhance Pakistan’s reputation as a source of skilled manpower.
Over 400 Youth Placed in Saudi Arabia
The ceremony marked the overseas placement of more than 400 young individuals who completed internationally benchmarked technical training and assessment programs.

The placements were aimed at meeting employer demand in Saudi Arabia. Officials stated that the initiative reflects coordination between training institutions and overseas recruiters to address specific labor market needs.

The participants received recognition following successful completion of training programs designed to match the technical standards required by employers abroad.

Rana Mashhood reiterated that demand-led skills training is a cornerstone of the government’s broader youth empowerment agenda. He said that providing internationally competitive training enhances opportunities for Pakistani youth while contributing to economic growth through overseas employment.
