China Condemns Balochistan Terror Attacks, Reaffirms Support for Pakistan
Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong paid an official visit to the Ministry of Interior on Tuesday, where he was warmly received by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks targeting civilians and security forces in Balochistan. He expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the affected families, stating that China stands in complete solidarity with the victims in this difficult time.
The ambassador reiterated that China condemns terrorism in all its forms and affirmed that China stands firmly with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the Chinese envoy on the security situation in Balochistan, stating that the terrorist incidents were carried out under an organized and premeditated plan. He said Pakistan’s security forces responded promptly and effectively through timely operations.

The interior minister also apprised the ambassador of measures taken to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and Chinese-funded projects in Pakistan, emphasizing that the protection of Chinese nationals and projects is of utmost importance to the government.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that no hostile elements can undermine Pak-China friendship and reiterated that providing maximum security to Chinese citizens remains Pakistan’s top priority. He added that a Special Protection Unit is being established specifically for the security of Chinese nationals.
The interior minister noted that modern Chinese technology and equipment would prove helpful in conducting coordinated counter-terrorism operations. He also briefed the ambassador on his recent successful visit to China.
The meeting featured detailed discussions on counter-terrorism cooperation, internal security, and bilateral security collaboration. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in intelligence sharing and cybercrime prevention.
Both the interior minister and the Chinese ambassador reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Pak-China strategic partnership.
The Chinese ambassador thanked the Pakistani government for the security measures taken for Chinese citizens, while Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude for China’s consistent and unwavering support for Pakistan.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, the Interior Secretary, Special Secretary Interior, and senior officials from the Chinese Embassy were also present during the meeting.
