Over 38,000 Pakistanis Deported from Gulf Countries
Islamabad: Official documents have revealed that a total of 38,616 Pakistani nationals were deported from Gulf countries during the year 2025, with Saudi Arabia accounting for the highest number of expulsions.
According to the data, Saudi Arabia deported 27,692 Pakistanis over the year, making it the leading country in terms of deportations. The second highest number was recorded from the United Arab Emirates, from where 6,794 Pakistani nationals were sent back.
The documents further show that Oman deported 2,537 Pakistanis during the same period, while 786 individuals were deported from Bahrain. In addition, 644 Pakistanis were deported from Qatar and 163 from Kuwait in 2025.
A breakdown of deportations from Saudi Arabia indicates multiple causes. A total of 6,094 Pakistanis were deported after being declared absconders. Another 10,274 individuals were sent back for various other violations.
Overstay and illegal entry accounted for the deportation of 3,282 Pakistanis from Saudi Arabia, while 1,479 individuals were deported due to blacklisting by Saudi authorities. Drug-related cases led to the deportation of 700 Pakistanis.
The data also shows that 767 Pakistanis were deported for begging-related offenses, 92 for involvement in theft, and 907 due to visa violations in Saudi Arabia during the year.
